Two exceptional industry professionals have joined our growing sales team, bringing deep experience, passion for hospitality, and a commitment to helping partners thrive. Please join us in welcoming Nathan Proulx and Tracie Carmel. Introducing Nathan Proulx – North/Central Regional Sales Manager Nathan Proulx joins Vertex China with more than 25 years of experience in the foodservice industry. His passion for hospitality began early, shaped by time spent learning from his father, a talented chef and baker who instilled in him a love for craftsmanship and great food. At just 15, Nathan began his career in a New England seafood restaurant, rising from dishwasher to kitchen manager. This foundation led him to pursue a degree in Culinary Arts and later hold roles in high-end restaurants, country clubs, and healthcare facilities. He eventually served as Food Service Director for a premier nursing and rehabilitation center, where he focused on delivering exceptional meals to residents. Nathan later transitioned into foodservice sales, where he discovered his true calling. His career includes leadership positions with Sysco, Edward Don & Company, Fortessa Tableware Solutions, Unox, and Arctic Walk-In Coolers. His expertise spans tabletop design, kitchen innovation, and both hot and cold-side equipment solutions. The heart of Nathan’s work lies in building relationships and helping operators overcome challenges with thoughtful, customized solutions. Joining Vertex China aligns perfectly with his passion for quality, design, and service. Outside of work, he enjoys time with his family — his son Zack, daughter Ella, and stepdaughters Gwen and Izzy — along with outdoor activities such as camping, ice fishing, striper fishing off the Maine coast, and hunting. Tracie is excited to return to the tabletop world, a space she loves for its blend of creativity, hospitality, and design. With years of experience in foodservice, sales, and education, she is passionate about building strong relationships and helping partners bring their vision to life using the quality and craftsmanship Vertex is known for. Based in Arizona, Tracie and her husband enjoy cooking, entertaining, and spending time with their two rescue dogs, Ginger and Twix.
